I know it's nothing like what my sister Cheryl is having to deal with right now in Des Moines (it's 9 degrees), but it feels like 9 here with the windchill. The real temperature is 23, but with a 25-mph wind out of the northwest, it feels like 9.
It's the coldest air of the winter so far here in the D.C. area. Which is fine. But if it's going to be this cold, it might as well snow. We missed out on another big storm yesterday. It stayed south in the Carolinas.
Oh well. What do I really care anyway. This time next week I'll be cruising in the Caribbean, on my way to Jamaica.
So I've got that going for me. Which is nice.
